Prerequisite - None
Objective: The intent of this course is to focus
on the skills needed to safely manage any type of kayak on calm,
protected water.
Overview: We will review and discuss the various
strokes used in kayaking and when you would use them. We will
also cover gear and clothing in depth and how to outfit yourself
for a comfortable day on the water. Simple rescues will be demonstrated
by the instructor, but you will not be required to perform them.
At the end of this course, you will be able to maneuver safely
and comfortably on still water.
Cost $90
Equipment Required: Boat, Paddle and PFD are not
included in the above cost but can be supplied for an additional
$25/person.
